Announcement of Temporary Museum Closure, April 25, 2021–
In accordance with the government directives, and in order to prevent further spread of the Coronavirus, the Kyoto National Museum will temporarily close from April 25 (Sunday) to May 11 (Tuesday), 2021.
Regarding the museum's tentative plans for reopening on May 12 (Wednesday), please refer to the museum website and the Kyoto National Museum's official Twitter (@kyohaku_gallery) account.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this closure may cause. Thank you for your understanding.
1. Temporarily Closed Exhibitions:
- This exhibition will remain closed for the duration of the current state of emergency.
- For those who have already purchased tickets, they will be usable if the exhibition re-opens. Refunds will be available for any unused tickets (please be aware of the deadline for refunds). For details, see the official exhibition website. Please note that ticket refunds cannot be made at the South Gate ticket booth.
