The Special exhibition is being held inside the Collections Galleries (Heisei Chishinkan Wing). Special exhibition admission fees are required to enter this building during special exhibition periods.

The original museum building, Meiji Kotokan, which is normally used for special exhibitions, has been closed for the foreseeable future for major upgrades preceded by archaeological excavations. Special exhibitions are now being held in the new Heisei Chishinkan Wing (the Collections Galleries). During special exhibitions, some parts of the museum collection may not be on view, and special exhibition admission fees may apply to enter the museum. We apologize for the inconvenience.
