Announcement of Partial Closures of the Museum, September 4 – 27, 2018
The Collections Galleries will be partially closed from September 4 to 9. And then, the Collections Galleries will be closed and Outdoor Exhibits are open for viewing from September 11 to 27.
We appreciate your understanding.
*The museum will be closed on Mondays and September 28.
- Partial Closures of the Collections Galleries:
- From Tue. September 4 to Sun. September 9, 2018
Open areas:
The Painting galleries (2nd Floor) and the Sculpture gallery (1st Floor) are open for viewing.
The The 3rd Floor galleries and other 1st Floor galleries are closed. -
HOURS:
9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Entrance until 4:30 p.m.) from Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday
9:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.(Entrance until 8:30 p.m.) on Friday, Saturday
ADMISSION:
Adult 260yen (*210yen), University Student 130yen (*110yen)
*Fees in parentheses are for groups of 20+
*Free admission for youths under 17 and seniors over 70.
- Full Closure of the Collections Galleries:
- From Tue. September 11 to Thr. September 27, 2018

Adult 260yen (*210yen)
(includes guide booklet to the Kyoto National Museum gardens and outdoor exhibits)
*Free admission for University student or younger, and seniors over 70, not including guide booklet.
