Collection Gallery
June 2, 2020 - July 5, 2020

The Metalwork gallery is currently being used to display Metalwork and also Archaeological Relics.

This exhibition features archaeological artifacts from ancient times, Buddhist metalwork objects, medieval handscrolls, and paintings by idiosyncratic Edo period (1615–1886) artists. Although modest in scale, we hope you will enjoy immersing yourself for a while in the history and beauty of these works of art.
From June 23, 2020 (Tue.) onwards, there will be partial rotations as part of the convention on "the Promotion of the Exchange of Archaeological Material," in which the Kyoto National Museum is participating. The galleries will feature objects on loan from the Kyushu Historical Museum, the Oita Prefectural Museum of History (Oita Prefectural Center for Archaeological Research), and the Imashirozuka Museum in Tkatsuki, Osaka.
The Gallery is closed from June 9 to 12, 2020.
