<Extended> Announcement of Museum Closures, February 27 – March 23, 2020

Based on measures instituted by the Japanese government to contain the spread of the coronavirus, the museum will stay closed from February 27 to March 1623, 2020.

During this period, the Saturday lectures and other events are cancelled.
The Information at the South Gate Information, the Museum Shop, and the Museum Coffee Shop will also be closed.
Thank you for your understanding.

From March 24 to April 9, museum galleries remain closed for re-installation, as previously scheduled. Museum gardens and outdoor exhibits, however, are open during this period because this can remain in compliance with the following three prevention principles stipulated by experts: "ventilation," "low visitor density," "no short-distance conversations, shouting, or loud singing."
