Notice of Postponement of the Special Exhibition and Temporary Closure of the Museum Gardens

The opening of the special exhibition Kannon Worship: The Thirty-three Pilgrimage Sites of Western Japan, scheduled for April 11, 2020, has been postponed as part of the effort to contain the spread of COVID-19.

As soon as new opening dates have been decided, they will be announced on this website and on the Kyoto National Museum's official Twitter feed (@kyohaku_gallery).

We apologize for any inconvenience, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

All museum galleries will also be closed to the public beginning Friday, April 10, 2020, along with the Kyoto National Museum's gardens and outdoor exhibits.
