Ise Dai Kagura, an itinerant sacred performance tradition designated an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Japan, is coming to the Kyoto National Museum!
Don't miss this spectacle of dancing, acrobatics, and sword tossing in a performance dedicated to the kami of Ise Grand Shrine.

Date and Time:: Sunday, August 13, 2023
First Performance: 11:00 a.m.
Second Performance: 1:00 p.m.
* Two performances of the same program. Each lasts approx. 20 minutes. * Theater to be emptied between performances. Theater opens 30 minutes before each performance. (See Notes below.)

Location:: Kyoto National Museum, Heisei Chishinkan Wing, Lecture Theater

Capacity:: 200 attendees per performance (100 advance reservations, 100 same-day registrations, free seating)

* Please note that registrations with incomplete entries will not be accepted.
You will receive an automatically generated reply email verifying the completion of your registration after completing the form. * Please make sure that your email can receive emails from the domain [@nich.go.jp]. * Contact us if you wish to cancel your application after it has been submitted. * Contact us if you do not receive a confirmation email within one week of completing the application. * On the day of the performance, please present the email screen or a printout of your receipt email in order to be admitted. Please do not forget to bring it with you. If multiple people are registered on the same application, they must enter the theater together.

Ticket distribution will take place on the 1st floor of Heisei Chishinkan.

Notes:

This performance has free seating.
If you do not have specific seat preferences, please come to the Lecture Theater ( Heisei Chishinkan B1 lower level) by the start time of each performance.
If you want to choose your preferred seats:
- For those with reservations (web application): Come directly to the Lecture Theater on the lower level of Heisei Chishinkan 30 minutes before the start time. You will be allowed to enter in order of arrival.
- For those with same-day tickets: Come to the side of the Museum Shop on the 1st floor of the Heisei Chishinkan 30 minutes before the start time. As we will give priority to those with prior reservations, there may be a wait of approximately 10 minutes before entering the auditorium. We appreciate your understanding in advance.
