Announcement of Closures of the Museum Galleries, March 23 to April 17, 2026

All museum galleries will be CLOSED for re-installation from March 23 to April 17, 2026. Museum gardens and outdoor exhibits will be open for viewing from March 24 to April 16, 2026.
We appreciate your understanding.

Full Closure of the Collections Galleries:

March 23–April 17, 2026
OPEN April 18
Special Exhibition Kitano Tenjin: Legends of a Shinto God

Museum Gardens Only:

March 24–April 16, 2026
Closed on Mondays
*When Monday is a national holiday, the museum remains open on Monday and closes the following day (Tuesday).

Hours:
9:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (entrance until 4:30 p.m.)
Fridays, 9:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. (entrance until 7:30 p.m.)

Open areas:
Museum gardens, outdoor exhibits
*All museum galleries are closed.
