This rare complete set of six bottles for grape wine and their case is an example of export lacquerware. It incorporates typical flat makie and mother-of-pearl inlay. The copper screw bottle caps were copied after the screw caps used in Portuguese breech-loading guns—making them cutting-edge technology for their day.
